Born in Rustenburg, North West Province of South Africa; Molebogeng Tsonope’s passion for art was made official after high school. She studied Art and Design at Tshwane North College and obtained three year Diploma in Art and Design. She represented the Gauteng Province in the COSSA National Arts & Culture festival from 26-29 June 2016 in Phalaborwa where she obtained a silver medal and a 2nd place trophy for the Province in the brush painting female category.
Passion, courage, creativity, faith and wisdom are what inspires and drives her. Molebogeng’s first exhibition was in 2015 in Pretoria and it launched her as a Visual artist.
Molebogeng is inspired by women, men, children, mystery of life, nature and by other artists especially unknown artist found in rural areas, who create master pieces of art out of waste products. Creating Sculptures out of plastics, drawing their inspiration from settlements. She is mostly I am inspired by being an African.
